Orange , round structured variety with an orange to yellow colour.
Large headed pincushion it has rounded deep orange to yellow flower heads.
It is one of the best orange colored of all the Proteaceae family.

It produces spectacular blossoms as large as 5 inches in diameter.
Ideal for low maintenance, low water use gardens.
Tolerant of most well drained soil types and conditions.

Fast growing. Its superb blooms are beautiful when cut and last for two to three weeks in a vase.
Protea’s are quite easy to grow tolerating slightly acid soils as well as climates that are wet in winter and dry in summer. For best performance, plant it in full sun in soil that is moderately infertile. Soil must be fast draining and porous; moist soils encourage fungal diseases. Amend loam and clay soils with grit and coarse organic matter to improve aeration and drainage.
Do not fertilize, especially with phosphorus.

Can tolerate quite low temperatures.
